Soundproofing walls

Speaking about soundproofing walls, we mean working with existing internal or external partitions, whose own soundproofing characteristics do not provide sufficient protection from noise.

Currently, two design options are used in apartments - frame and frameless cladding systems

FRAMELESS SOUND-INSULATING PANEL SYSTEM ZIPS

This system is a sandwich panel with eight vibration-insulating fastening units and a finishing sheet of 12.5 mm plasterboard. The sandwich panel is mounted directly to the protected wall, and the plasterboard layer is fixed to the ZIPS panel.

  • Sound insulation index 9-18 dB
  • Structure thickness from 53 to 133 mm

FRAME SOUND INSULATION SYSTEMS

Frame soundproofing systems contain significantly more elements that need to be correctly mounted to achieve the stated effect. However, they have an undeniable advantage: such systems are based on plasterboard technologies widely known to every builder and are essentially a kind of "tuning" of well-known frame cladding designs. An important advantage of frame cladding is the ability to use it not only for soundproofing, but also for leveling the surface of walls.

  • Sound insulation index 14-18 dB
  • Structure thickness from 90 to 140 mm
