Soundproofing the ceiling

Soundproofing the ceiling, like any other soundproofing, requires a certain set of measures. Soundproofing the ceiling is provided by a design in which an important role is played by a combination of vibration-insulating, sound-absorbing and sound-reflecting components.

It is important to remember that the soundproofing of the suspended ceiling tends to zero. Therefore, it must be combined with professional soundproof ceiling designs to achieve a good effect in protecting against noise from neighbors above.

Soundproofing materials for the ceiling are divided into the following types:

  • damping (absorb structural vibrations)
  • sound-absorbing (dampens wave vibrations)
  • soundproofing (does not allow waves)

FRAME SOUNDPROOFING OF CEILINGS

The basis of the cladding is a metal frame, which is attached to the insulated surface or previously soundproofed adjacent surfaces. To improve the soundproofing properties of the structure, it is better to fasten the frame using vibration hangers.

  • Soundproofing index 14-18 dB
  • Structure thickness from 90 to 140 mm
